Beelivery, the UK’s largest on-demand grocery delivery service, has announced an expansion of its senior executive team, including the appointment of Mandy Hamerla as its new chief people officer.
With nearly 20 years’ experience in HR, including roles as global HR director at Pearson and head of HR (commercial division) at Argos, Hamerla is specifically charged with helping transform the firm’s 50,000 self-employed drivers from a ‘network’ into a ‘community’.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Gott, Beelivery’s chief operating officer, said: “Mandy is a strategic HR professional who will be providing expert solutions to our brand. She will no doubt add invaluable experience helping us build a loyal and productive team.”
Yazan Bin Mohammad, chairman and co-founder of Beelivery added: “It is an exciting time for Beelivery, and Mandy has already made a positive impact to our business.
“We are grateful to be bringing experienced, motivated and dedicated people to our leadership team to continue to move the business forward.
“We will be doubling the size of the team this year as we continue to focus on further growth, cementing our current position and building upon it.”
For the last four years, Hamerla ran her own consultancy, Modern HR, and she is the author of 2018 business book, Hiring your first employee.
