As COVID continues to dominate the agenda for most organisations, the demand for mental health services is at an all-time high. This inevitably leads to questions about how to meet this immediate demand whilst making wise, long-term investments in the right services.
In a recent podcast, timed to coincide with World Mental Health Day, we looked at how investment in digital mental health services can make a huge difference in improving access to the right support and help tackle some of the barriers experienced by employees in big organisations. The benefits for the employee of getting the right help at the right time can be matched by improvements for the organisation in the attraction and retention of talent, reduction in sickness rates and quicker recovery from absences, and in improved employee engagement.
Hosted by SilverCloud Head of Europe, Dr Lloyd Humphreys, the episode featured an in-depth discussion with Dan Burningham, Mental Health Programme Director at City and Hackney CCG, Brendan Street, Professional Head of Emotional Wellbeing at Nuffield Health and Ben Jones, service user and soon-to-be psychotherapist.
