The Everything App

Staffordshire and Stoke Integrated Care Board, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust, Clarendon Lodge Medical Practice, Northamptonshire Primary Care Training Hub and NI Ambulance Service HSS Trust are among the NHS trusts and organisations that have given staff free access to fitness, nutrition and mental wellbeing support via an app.

The Everything app, provided by software firm Fibodo, combines mental wellbeing, nutrition, and fitness. It hosts live fitness streaming, on-demand content, and local wellbeing service discounts exclusively for NHS staff and their immediate family.

The on-demand sessions include pilates, yoga, strength training and meditation, with the length of activities ranging from 10 minutes to one hour. Other session include cooking sessions, child-friendly activities, and family workouts. Many of the sessions are delivered by expert fitness and wellbeing brands, such as Johnson Digital and Fun and Moving.

The sessions are available anytime and anywhere in order to support those on shift patterns. NHS staff and their families who prefer local, in-person sessions can book these through the app at discounted prices.

Huw Edwards, CEO of UKactive, saidd: “The UK’s health and fitness market currently has more than 11.5 million members, and the more people we can influence to get involved in physical activity, both within our sector’s facilities and beyond, the better.”

The NHS trusts and organisations which have adopted the app were contacted for comment prior to publication.
