Tedaisy Insurance Group has introduced a pet bereavement hub dedicated to supporting employees experiencing pet loss.
The hub encompasses a variety of online resources designed to help individuals navigate the grieving process, including a dedicated pet bereavement telephone line whereby those wishing to discuss their loss will be placed into a priority queue and connected with a trained pet bereavement call handler.
In addition, Tedaisy Insurance Group has granted employees a paid day off to mourn the loss of their pets. Staff are encouraged to use the day as needed to grieve without worrying about work-related responsibilities.
It has also reaffirmed its commitment to employee growth by investing in employee learning and development.
The organisation has implemented these changes as part of its belief that acknowledging the emotional impact of pet loss and providing the required support to employees during difficult times will further demonstrate its compassion for pets and their owners.
Natalie Surtees, managing director of Tedaisy Insurance Group, said: “As pet lovers and owners, we understand the profound impact that the loss of a pet can have on our employees. Our pet bereavement hub and dedicated pet bereavement phone line is our way of acknowledging the importance of these relationships and helping those grieving to find some comfort and support.
“The decision to invest in our employees' development and introduce pet bereavement training underscores our commitment to providing exceptional customer support. We understand that pets are cherished family members, and our goal is to offer not only financial protection but also emotional support during moments of need.”
