Insurance firm Axa has has enhanced employee benefits for its employees in Greater China to promote work-life balance in the workplace and provide support at different life stages.

From 1 January, the organisation increased paid co-parent leave from 20 days to 40 days. It will also offer five days of paid fertility leave for employees who receive assisted reproductive services, such as in-vitro fertilisation treatment and embryo transfer, and if an employee’s partner receives assisted reproductive services, the employee can also have two days of fertility leave.

Employees affected by miscarriage can take five days of paid pregnancy loss leave, and if an employee’s partner is affected by miscarriage, they can also take two days of paid leave.

Staff who are caring for close family members who require additional care due to a serious health condition or disability will be granted five days of caregiver leave, while employees impacted by domestic or sexual violence will be offered five days of paid leave, as well as extra support based on their various needs.

The group’s Healthy You programme, which launched in October 2023, will be expanded to provide a supportive working environment for employees experiencing menstrual health conditions, menopause or andropause, and will also offer resources for a range of health problems.
