Global creative network Iris Worldwide has appointed Benita Meswania global chief people officer, as it seeks to redefine and elevate its people offering in line with its growth ambitions and client proposition.
Based in the UK, Meswania will report to Ian Millner, chair of Iris Worldwide, and lead a team of more than 20 HR professionals. In her role, she will develop a new global value proposition for talent, leveraging what makes the network unique and creating new strategies for succession, career development, learning, affinity and engagement.
Meswania has 18 years of experience in talent roles, the majority of which were spent within the Accenture Network. During her career, Meswania helped Accenture Song shape its operating model through a creative lens and led HR for Droga5 during a period of challenge and growth.
Most recently, she was global chief people officer at Plus Company, where she led talent strategy across a network of 30 agencies with more than 3,000 employees.
Meswania said: “I’m hugely excited to be leading the people offering at Iris. Leveraging my experience developing transformational talent strategies for creative businesses, I’ll be working to support the network’s growth ambitions while breaking the mould in how we elevate the people agenda.”
Millner added: “We are delighted to welcome Benita to our network as we build on our first 25 years. As Iris looks to continue to stay a step ahead of a marketplace that is under incredible pressure, it’s great to have a senior global executive in the talent space join us as we navigate the most exciting and challenging chapter of our industry so far. Benita will help us move faster, be more dynamic and confident and tap into the people, skills and culture right across our global network.”
