Snowflake has introduced a behavioural health coaching app to support its employees with their mental health.
The app, Ginger, provides Snowflake’s international staff members and their families with a programme that can offer support with a range of issues, including stress, anxiety, relationship matters or coaching on specific topics such as managing conflict at work.
The app offers mental wellbeing support 24-hours a day, seven days a week, through behavioural health coaching, therapy, psychiatry and guided content.
It is available to Snowflake's 700-plus employees across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific, and Canada.
Employees are able to work with coaches and therapists to help achieve their goals and build long-term strategies.
The app links with Snowflake’s other benefits within an indivudal's coach portal, enabling them to be directed to the organisation’s employee assistance programme (EAP), for example.
Snowflake launched the scheme on 27 November 2020 as part of an off-line mental health day, which meant no meetings or work for employees.
Shabnam Ramzan, international benefits programme manager at Snowflake, said: “It’s all [about] putting our employees first. When we are at our best, we are able to perform at our best, both personally and professionally. Mental health is a global concern, and that access to quality, evidence-based care is challenging around the world.”
Julien Alteirac, regional vice president (RVP) of sales in the UK and Nordics, said: “Our staff is our strength, and our benefits reflect this. I understand that not everyone needs a therapist, but everyone needs someone to talk to. I feel humbled that my team is supported and has access to the Ginger programme, even during the holiday season.”
