Something for the weekend: Communication is very important in a workplace, and some employees may occasionally take part in a bit of gossip here and there. As office dogs have become more common due to their ability to help reduce stress and enhance social connections, they might find themselves getting involved too, as seen in a video shared on 25 September by @lenwichthegolden, an Instagram account about golden retriever Lenny.

“All anyone can talk about round here is my relationship with Lola, so I’m spilling the tea on all my co-workers,” Lenny said, so he dishes out the dirt on his canine colleagues, starting with chocolate Labrador Hazel.

“So, Hazel never actually prepares for any meetings and instead just uses her puppy eyes to get what she wants,” he said. Hard to blame her if it works!

Lenny then goes on to say that Spot has a reputation for being a bit of a sneaky butt sniffer at the park and that French Bulldog Biggie was caught stealing toys from the cubicle next door. It’s rumored that HR has him taking workplace behaviour courses as a result.

He moved onto Lady, who feels that having her own office makes her more important. He acknowledges that it definitely does, but he and the rest of his colleagues all pretend that it doesn’t.

Meanwhile, Jacks wears the same blue outfit daily, with Lenny hearing that he has 20 at home, Louie was hired to jumpstart sales before the end of the fiscal year but is often found sleeping on the job, and Shadow likes to skip work and leave a stuffed animal body double in her place.

He also mentioned George, who isn’t actually a dog at all. Lenny thinks the iguana may have lied on his CV to get his position, and that he definitely thinks people are starting to catch on.

Seems like a dog’s office life is more exciting than most employees’ workplaces, with lots of interesting communication taking place! We wonder what’s included in their doggy benefits package
