Aon menopause and fertility

Global professional services firm Aon has enhanced its benefits package to offer support to its UK colleagues affected by menopause and fertility-related issues.

The firm, which employs more than 7,000 members of staff across 24 UK offices, has teamed up with third-party health specialists Bupa and workplace fertility support provider Peppy to provide confidential advice and personalised assistance.

Through Bupa’s menopause plan, Aon’s female, trans or non-binary employees experiencing the menopause can access a 45-minute consultation with a GP with additional training in menopause, advice on managing symptoms, a 30-minute follow-up consultation within 12 months of the initial consultation, and 12 months of access to Bupa’s nurse-led 24/7 Anytime HealthLine for ongoing advice and support on managing symptoms.

Meanwhile, Peppy’s fertility service is aimed at Aon employees thinking about or trying to get pregnant, considering or going through fertility treatment, dealing with miscarriage and loss or exploring other options such as adoption or surrogacy. They can use the service to access fertility experts for one-to-one personalised chat with expert practitioners, private video consultations, unlimited access to virtual events, clinical testing, emotional wellbeing support and a tailored four to eight-week course featuring video tutorials and advice.

Chris Dunford, chief people officer at Aon UK, said: “As part of our commitment to our colleagues and to creating an inclusive and compassionate work environment, we have enhanced our employee benefits to include specialised support for anyone affected by menopause and fertility-related issues.

“Colleague wellbeing is our priority and we appreciate the impact ongoing health issues or major life events can have, and that access to the right support at the right time can be a lifeline. With this enhanced package, we are acknowledging and respecting the personal and health challenges our colleagues may face, and our aim is to provide access to useful and practical help, support and advice.”
