Admiral world's best multinational workplaces

Admiral Group, EY, Hilton, Mars and Salesforce are among the 25 global organisations recognised on the 2017 world’s best multinational workplaces list, compiled by Great Place to Work.

To feature on the annual list, organisations must have appeared on at least five national best workplaces list, also compiled by Great Place to Work, which ranks businesses based on the results from an organisation-wide employee engagement survey and a culture audit. The culture audit takes into consideration pay and benefits, hiring practices, internal communication, staff training, recognition programmes and diversity approaches.

Organisations included on the world’s best multinational workplaces list must also have a minimum of 5,000 employees worldwide, with 40% of their workforce based outside of the country it is headquartered in.

Organisations gain extra points for the number of countries it surveys employees in. The percentage of the organisation’s global workforce represented by the surveys are combined with the national list results to create a final top 25 ranking.

Technology organisation Salesforce topped 2017’s list, followed by professional services business The Adecco Group in second and SAS Institute, a technology organisation, ranked third. Confectionary manufacturer Mars came fourth in the final list, followed by cosmetics manufacturing business Natura in fifth.
