M Group appoints chief people officer

Infrastructure services provider M Group has appointed Adele Barker chief people officer.

Barker will lead the firm’s people strategy and support its sustainable business performance. She will drive business growth, transformation and change in line with the group’s ambitions.

She joins from water utility firm Pennon and has sector expertise and strategic leadership experience from senior positions held at British Gas, Orange and other consumer brands.

Barker said: “I’m excited to be joining M Group and for the opportunities ahead. I strongly believe that the best businesses today are those with engaged teams empowered to do what’s right for customers, and each other, working together to deliver long-term business success. I look forward to leading the M Group people strategy, working with Andrew and the executive team.”
