Ian Hodson, director of people and culture, and Carina Monnelly-Owen, head of people services at Housing 21, will present a session on reward strategy on the first day of Employee Benefits Live 2025.
Using reward strategy to drive organisational impact, which will take place on Wednesday 1 October at 12.10pm in Theatre One, will focus on the changing relationship between the employee and employer, how the dynamic and expectations are evolving.
It will also look at what employees are seeking from a psychological contract with an employer and how it can be achieved.
Hodson explained that he and Monnelly-Owen will be exploring the connectivity between an employee and employer, and how an organisation can reflect what attracts employees through their employee offering.
“We will be using Housing 21 as a case study to demonstrate how we have looked to put best practice in place through how we connect employees to our organisational purpose and values, offer a comprehensive employee experience, and remember to ensure that the workplace can still be fun. There will be some audience interaction within the session, as we define with the audience what they value from an employer and how their current organisation positions itself,” he said.
Hodson hopes that attendees leave the session with some personal reflections on their personal and professional relationships with their employer, with some considerations to overlay against their own employee proposition.
“The session will help define where there may be gaps within the current offering that providers can help with, or where further exploration may result in a new opportunity,” he said.
