Wolseley and The Big Word Group will present a session on financial, mental and physical wellbeing on the second day of Employee Benefits Live 2024.
The session, titled The holy trinity of financial, mental and physical wellbeing panel, is part of the financial wellbeing stream and will be held on Wednesday 9 October at 1.45pm.
Ant Donaldson, reward manager at Wolseley (pictured above), and Chris Whiting, global head of people and talent at The Big Word Group, will explore how to balance the focus across all three pillars and ensure they are equally prioritised, given that employees may have varying needs or preferences, and the communication of wellbeing initiative values.
The session will also look at how to address challenges with tailoring wellbeing initiatives to a diverse workforce with different demographic, cultural, and personal circumstances, and measure engagement and impact.
Donaldson, whose focus will be predominantly on the financial wellbeing pillar, explained that he will be looking at the interaction of all aspects of wellbeing and how employers can help their people across them all, to hopefully set up a virtuous circle of positive impacts.
“The key message is around how all the aspects of wellbeing are interlinked and how interventions and resources need to be broad or varied enough to support workforces in each area, so their impacts are mutually reinforcing,” he said.
Donaldson hopes attendees will gather new insights about how to frame and analyse the different aspects of wellbeing, and ideas on how to support employees’ wellbeing.
“Many of these don’t need to break the bank, which is especially important given the financial pressure that many employers find themselves under. We’ll also be keen to hear from attendees on what works at their organisations, which adds something to events such as Employee Benefits Live,” he added.
Employee Benefits Live 2024, Europe’s largest dedicated reward and benefits event for the HR and reward industry, will take place on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 October 2024 at ExCeL London.
