Saffery Champness has moved its total reward statements online and launched a pensions calculator for its 340 employees.

The accountancy firm wanted to reduce the amount of administration involved in distributing paper-based total reward statements and to give staff† the opportunity access details of their benefits package whenever they wanted.

Nigel Boniface, head of HR at Saffery Champness, explained: “The statements will be online so that employees can view them at anytime. We had a paper-based version before but we think that it will be far easier to run online, as it will reduce the amount of administration involved.”

The online pensions calculator will allow employees to view the value of their stakeholder pension at any point during the year and to alter their contribution levels once a year in April.

“Once a year in April employees can go online and change their contribution level and obviously throughout the year they will be able to look at their pension value and also their contributions,” added Boniface.

The firm also added a bikes for work scheme to its flexible benefits scheme.
