Village Hotel workers have ended three weeks of strike action after accepting a backdated pay offer and end to zero-hour contracts.
Members of Unite the Union voted for industrial action in July in a dispute over pay and working conditions.
Employees aged under 21 in the food and beverage teams at Village Glasgow have accepted a 10% pay rise which will be backdated to 1 April 2024.
The employer has also agreed to cover all tax and national insurance, and make a £400 payment to workers aged over 21 who did not benefit from the equal pay uplift.
The deal will also replace zero-hour contracts with guaranteed minimum hour contracts; however, employees will continue to have the right to be on zero-hours contracts if they prefer. All will be offered minimum or guaranteed hours, but it is not compulsory.
A Village spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that an agreement has been reached with Unite. We are proud of our track record as an employer and this decision enhances our already highly competitive package, which includes significant benefits and incentives, contributing to our market-leading employee loyalty and engagement scores.”
