bouncy castle

Something for the weekend: Applicants are being asked to rise to the challenge of testing the biggest bouncy castle in the world.

Any job has its ups and downs, but none more so than this: official bouncy castle testers are being sought to try out the world's largest inflatable obstacle course, which is on tour in the UK.

Over 300 metres long, the Monster features 42 obstacles, including the 'mega slide', the 'tunnel of love' and the 'bouncy cage of doom'.

Successful candidates will be presented with an official Monster uniform and given the privilege of putting the course through its paces before members of the public jump into the fray. The job advert emphasises the need for applicants to be "puncture-al".

Prospective Monster testers must provide their CV, with a paragraph explaining why they think they should be considered for the opportunity. The organisation then states that each candidate will undergo a rigorous selection process, testing all of their abilities to manage the demands of the course.

The role is rewarded with a pay rate of £250 per day, which, Monster states, will remain in line with inflation.

The advertisement reads: "Our official inflatable obstacle course tester will be in charge of making sure the Monster is as fun as possible, and will be responsible for testing every square metre of it before we open to the public in each city.

"It’s a big job, with big responsibilities…and probably the best job in the world! We can’t wait to find our new bouncy colleague!”

The Monster, strictly for adults, is currently on the final leg of its UK tour at Birmingham NEC.

Here at Employee Benefits, we think this gives a new meaning the phrase 'workplace flexibility'. Plenty of job adverts are full of hot air, but we wonder how many applicants will take a leap of faith with this one.
