Occupational health and wellbeing firm Pam Group has introduced a range of employee benefits and rewards for its 700 employees as part of its recruitment and retention strategy.
The improved package includes an employer funded group income protection scheme, through which staff on sick leave will receive 60% of their annual salary for up to two years after 13 weeks of absence on full pay. It also includes a £250 gift every year during their birthday month for workers with seven years of service, and the option to buy or sell up to five days’ holiday entitlement each year for full-time equivalent staff.
Employees previously on the national living wage aged 23 and over will receive the £10.42 per hour real living wage, while others will receive a 4.25% pay rise. The package also introduces added individual bonus payments, recognising great service and other ways in which staff go above and beyond.
The group also introduced a benefits and rewards programme in conjunction with Perkbox, and will roll out Raiys’ wellbeing and lifestyle improvement app to all employees and their families.
James Murphy, founder and chief executive of Pam Group, said: “We are mindful that employees across the group are being impacted by rising inflation and energy costs. It is therefore the right time to be making a significant investment to improve the salaries, benefits and rewards for our staff.
“Our team is pivotal to the ongoing success of the business, and we want to encourage and reward people for their efforts in ensuring we continue to deliver great service. The enhanced package will also be important in helping us to attract the right people as we expand our team significantly over the coming months.
"While the new package of measures will add well over £1 million to our overheads, we don’t see it as a cost; it’s an investment in our people.”
