FTSE 250 professional services firm FDM Group has published its 2022 gender pay gap results, finding a -4.0% mean gender pay gap.
According to the firm, which employs 2,982 workers in the UK and 6,663 globally, this is an improvement on last year’s figure of 0.5%.
FDM Group, which added more than 2,500 consultants into its training academy over the past year, and has widened its support for women in the workplace, also reported a -4.3% median gender pay gap, and found that 84% of women employed by the organisation received bonus pay, with the median bonus gap rising to -5.2%, an improvement on the 2021 figure of -0.2%.
The firm said these improvements on its gender pay standards were likely a result of its returners programme, which was designed to help women from all backgrounds enter the technology industry.
FDM Group has also upgraded its maternity cover to include an increased amount of time away from the workplace on full pay, and has extended it to people who are adopting, while also introducing flexible timings and remote working alternatives for staff.
Sheila Flavell, chief operating officer of FDM Group, said: “Tackling the gender pay gap should be a top priority for all businesses and we are proud to continue our record of offering incredible careers, pay and benefits to women in the technology industry.
“It’s important to recognise that these results have been delivered through a concerted effort across all areas of the company, to drive improvements to our recruitment programme and provide support and flexibility to our people as they develop their skills and experience.”
