Nottinghamshire County Council is launching a childcare voucher scheme to its 27,000 employees.
From May, staff will be able to request up to £243 per month (or £55 per week) in childcare vouchers which, subject to individual circumstances, could save employees up to £1,196 per year on childcare. The vouchers will be offered through a salary sacrifice scheme, so will be free from tax and national insurance contributions.
Jack Markiewicz, head of HR, said: "We are committed to providing employee-friendly environments, policies and benefits to attract, recruit and retain the best possible workforce. One way in which we can achieve this is by offering an attractive package of benefits and we believe the Busy Bee Childcare Voucher scheme will form part of this."
