This week, we were absolutely thrilled when Employee Benefits was named Pensions and Benefits Publication of the Year at the Willis Towers Watson Awards 2017.
This is the third consecutive year that we have won this title and, every year, it has meant a great deal to us, not least because it is voted for by the industry. This is particularly pertinent this year given the changes Employee Benefits has undergone in the last few months.
It also brings to life one of the themes we regularly cover: recognition. While we are all well-versed in the theory about the motivating power of recognition, there’s nothing quite like experiencing this firsthand.
This now appears to be recognised on a wide scale, with numerous top employers’ lists highlighting different elements of the employment proposition. In the last two weeks, for example, we have seen the release of the UK Best Workplaces 2017 from the Great Place to Work Institute and the Top 50 Employers for Women 2017, compiled by The Times and Business in the Community (BITC). In each case, we have also heard from a number of the organisations that made the list, keen to share their achievements.
I can certainly understand why. As a team, I think we’re going to be on a high for some time to come.
