EXCLUSIVE: Delegates at Employee Benefits Connect 2017 can gain insight into how the changing workplace and technology are shaping future recognition programmes, as well as how recognition will drive performance and talent management.
Jamie King (pictured), director of global rewards at Xexec, will present a session titled ‘Delivering value in recognition for the future workplace’ as part of the employee engagement conference stream on Wednesday 1 March 2017.
During the session, King will discuss how factors such as home and flexible working, length of service and millennial expectations are all impacting on workplace recognition.
He said: “It’s really about how technology is affording the opportunity to make recognition more instantaneous and immediate, as in someone does something and they get something straight away.”
King will also discuss the ways in which recognition can be combined with talent management and performance reviews, enabling these to more closely align behavioural- and performance-based recognition.
The session will also cover how recognition will be used to support learning and development, and health and wellbeing initiatives, with employers using such programmes as a reward for good performance, or to promote such schemes by rewarding staff who engage with them.
“It’s really about the changing face of recognition and how recognition is becoming, [a] really integral part of any HR function," said King. "Technology and the changing workplace has created an opportunity now [to] really make this quite easy, but imperative.”
Employee Benefits Connect 2017 will take place on Wednesday 1 March 2017 at the Park Plaza, London.
