Admiral Group, Baringa Partners and Intuit UK are top winners at Best Places to Work 2012

Admiral Group, Baringa Partners and Intuit UK were among the UK employers named the Best Workplaces 2012.

The UK’s Best Workplace programme, which is run by Great Places to Work UK, consists of an annual employee survey and management culture audit, which pinpoint and evaluate specific aspects of an employer’s people practices and leadership.

The winners were announced at an event in Greenwhich on 24 May, which was attended by chief executive officers (CEOs) and HR professionals. Trophies were awarded to the top 25 organisations in each of the large, medium and small workplace categories.

British-based insurance firm Admiral Group took the top spot in the large category in its 11th year on the list.

Energy and financial services consultancy Baringa Partners, the winner in the medium-sized workplace category, has had a place at the top for three years running.

Multinational tech firm Intuit UK won the award for the small category.

Tom O’Byrne, chief executive at Great Place to Work UK, said: “I am delighted to congratulate all our winners on their achievement and thank their leaders for continuing to champion the importance of trust in the workplace.

“In the current economic climate, it has never been more crucial for organisations to recognise the importance of creating and maintaining great workplace cultures and the impact this can have on business performance.”
