Commercial law firm Howard Kennedy has seen an 11% increase in take up of its healthcare scheme following the introduction of several new benefits.

The London-based firm, which employs around 350 members of staff, introduced a nurse-led advice and claims management service in November 2016, after appointing Willis Towers Watson to broker its healthcare scheme.

The organisation also introduced a health cash plan to support employees’ everyday healthcare costs. The health cash plan includes physiotherapy, dental and optical services.

Howard Kennedy utilised a range of channels to communicate the new benefits to staff, such as presentations and information on its intranet site.

Through the enhancements, Howard Kennedy aims to ensure it provides a sustainable, first-class healthcare scheme for its employees.

The organisation's benefits package also includes life insurance, income protection, discounted gym membership, and flexible-working arrangements.

Debbie Westram (pictured), HR operations manager at Howard Kennedy, said: “[The nurse-led] service will help ensure our people receive a personal service from named nurses, along with the most appropriate care or medical treatment.”
