Pernod Ricard North America has promoted Lani Montoya to chief human resources (HR) officer.
Montoya has spent the past 10 years with the drinks company, holding various senior HR roles. She has previously been its director of global talent management (based in Paris) and more recently was director, global talent management, diversity and inclusion. Before joining Pernod Ricard she was HR manager at Allied Domecq.
She replaces Paul Holub, who is retiring from his role as senior vice president, HR and corporate services, after a 25-year career with Pernod Ricard.
Reporting to Pernod Ricard’s chairman and CEO Ann Mukherjee, Montoya's responsibilities will include talent acquisition, enhancing employee capabilities and retention, expanding diversity and inclusion programmes, and driving ongoing organisational change.
Montoya will also be responsible for furthering the company's 'Better Balance' commitment, which ensures diversity, flexibility and wellness are prioritised.
Commenting on her promotion, Montoya said: “At Pernod Ricard, we are creators of conviviality. That means creating an inclusive environment with employees from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about our brands, our industry and our purpose. As a Latin-American woman, I am committed to ensuring our company mirrors the diversity of our society."
Ann Mukherjee said: “It is my honour to welcome Lani as the newest member of our executive team. She shaped the diversity and inclusion strategy for our global company, and now she is poised to deliver on the commitment to Better Balance.”
