The team at MirrorWeb are impressively 84% more active in their first month of using the new employee wellbeing app, Myles Wellbeing.
The new and inclusive app, Myles Wellbeing, helps employee’s lead healthy lives as they are motivated to become more physically active as they compete amongst their fellow colleagues. This motivation is provided through gamification including trophies, points, challenges as well as powerful social dynamics such as competing with peers.
Myles Wellbeing ensures it prioritises inclusivity as the app normalises activities and sports so that everyone can see themselves on a fair leaderboard no matter how they exercise. The leaderboards also reward individual improvement as well as total effort, making it a level playing field for different fitness levels.
The wellbeing platform connects to over 30 tracking devices and includes over 100 activity types and sports. In their first month, MirrorWeb recorded 22 different activity types, and popular activities included walking, running, table tennis, skiing and rowing. We spoke to Jamie Hoyle, MirrorWeb’s SVP of Product, who particularly enjoyed this aspect of the app.
Jamie told Myles Wellbeing, “We love the fact that Myles has over 100 different activity types that are all tracked and standardised. It allows our staff to do the activities they love most, from tennis to spin class and walking, and earn points and redeem prizes on their own terms. It's already sparked some healthy interoffice competitions, which can only be a good thing!”.
MirrorWeb is a software development company which helps firms manage and evidence changes in their digital content. Through the MirrorWeb Platform they capture, archive and monitor web, SMS, email, instant messaging and social media channels. They explain, “Through cloud-archiving we provide data sovereignty and store archives in a legally admissible format (WORM). Once captured, archives can be replayed and searched through their platform at any time”. Indeed, MirrorWeb’s employees are mostly desk-based and so the Myles Wellbeing app is a perfect tool to get their workers motivated to move.
We also asked MirrorWeb’s SVP of Product why he thinks it is important for employers to have wellbeing initiatives, such as our Myles Wellbeing app. Jamie explained, “Company culture has been difficult for all organisations to navigate in the post-pandemic era. Myles has been a great way to bring MirrorWebbers together across our business to be active, grow, and compete in a more inclusive way”.
Jamie added, “It's sparked our running club, drove up interest for our weekly 6-a-side game, and it's a frequent topic of conversation at our Fika Fridays! Myles is helping us rewire our culture as a multinational organisation, and the level of engagement across all of our departments has been great to witness”.
With engagement and activity levels increasing, the new employee wellbeing app, Myles Wellbeing, is certainly helping employee’s lead healthier lives. Clearly the app’s leaderboard is successfully encouraging employees to get active in an inclusive and rewarding way.
