Recruitment search engine Indeed is offering its 10,000 employees a new flexible working policy, following on from the change in working patterns that were put in place due to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Dependent on their role within the organisation, employees will have the optionto either workfull-time in the office or at home, or split their time flexibly between both.
The vast majority of employees at Indeed are currently working remotely until July 2021 but the organisation outlined the new policy and confirmed it has no plans to move to a permanent remote working solution once all of its offices are safe to be reopened.
During the pandemic, the organisation gave all of its employees an extra day of paid leave. The ‘You Days’ allow employees to spend time doing the things that they enjoy.Indeed also gave its employeesa $1,000 (£772) one-off paymentto enable them to set up their home office or to purchase fitness equipment and sign up to meditation apps, as part of its commitment to thewellbeingof its employees during the pandemic.
A spokesperson at Indeed said: "We are so proud of our 10,000 global employees for how they have adjusted to remote work during these uncertain times. While remote work is not ideal for everyone, what we have learned is that our employees can be equally productive working at home, and that flexible work options give us a better quality of life.
"After considerable due diligence, including reviewing every role, we have landed on the following categories for how we will work in the future: completely remote, hybrid work from home/work from the office, and full time in the office.
"Employees will be notified of which category their role is in, and will choose how they want to work. The vast majority of employees will qualify for hybrid work or fully remote, and all of Indeed remains remote until July 2021."
