Business communications provider Daisy Communications held a week full of activities to de-stress its 320 employees.
The organisation, based in East Lancashire, held a week's worth of stress-busting activities on 4 November to 8 November 2019 for all of its employees to coincide with International Stress Awareness Week.
Daisy's stress awareness week featured a different benefit each day and enlisted the help of local businesses to help with the stress-alleviating activities. Employees were given the opportunity to go on a group walk on Monday, book in for a massage on Tuesday, attend a yoga session on Wednesday, attend a talk on hobbies on Thursday, and indulge in some sweet treats and enjoy fruit tea sachets on Friday.
Employees could book in for a ten minute massage in the office's meeting room, hosted by local beauty business Salon Twenty Seven. There were 25 places which were all fully booked on the day, and 15 employees attended the early morning yoga session hosted by local yoga studio, FX the following day.
Blackburn College was also invited into the office to discuss a wide variety of adult hobby courses it could offer.
Lee Bayman, HR director at Daisy Communications, said: “Reducing stress levels both inside and outside of the workplace is something we’re passionate about to ensure our people are energised and have coping mechanisms to manage stress.
“Our health and wellbeing team is continuously looking at ways we can bring our people together or engage with external businesses to help reduce any tension and pressure they feel.
“It was great to see so many people take part in activities and the feedback we’ve received has been positive. I’d like to thank the local businesses that took part for their support and we hope to be able to do something similar again in the future.”
