Vehicle manufacturer Bentley Motors has completed a 30-day hydration challenge as part of a commitment to prioritising workforce wellbeing and productivity.

The challenge, which was run by Hydrate the Nation, involved 500 Bentley Motors employees increasing their daily water intake in order to foster a culture of hydration-consciousness within the workplace. The aim was to create new habits by ensuring they drink enough water to boost productivity and metabolism, enhance memory and keep illnesses at bay.

BeFit at Bentley Motors, a workplace health and wellness solutions team within the organisation, signed up for the challenge as part of its ongoing commitment to employee wellness and enhancing productivity, and its recognition of the role hydration plays in maintaining overall health and performance. It wanted to foster a health-conscious environment, enhance employee morale and bolster the sense of community within its corporate culture.

Throughout the challenge, Hydrate The Nation provided employees with educational resources, personalised hydration plans, and engaging videos to motivate and support them.

Darren Rogers, colleague services manager at Bentley Motors, said: “Hydrate The Nation has helped us to highlight to our colleagues the importance of hydration on a daily basis. By having a focused and dedicated hydration challenge delivered to our business, it has helped us to educate and encourage staff to drink more and for them to see and feel the benefits of good hydration levels on a regular basis. We plan to continue to highlight this key health intervention as it's a change anyone can make with the right guidance and education.”

Bentley Motors offers employees a reward and benefits package that includes 35 days of annual leave, a bonus, pension scheme and optional car lease schemes, a health and fitness programme, on-site gym, restaurant, convenience store and tennis courts, and occupational health provision.
