American Express, Dell Technologies and Unum UK have been named as some of the best employers for excellence in health and wellbeing for their commitment to advancing wellbeing through benefits and initiatives.
Now in its 19th year, the accolade is awarded by Business Group on Health. Its criteria assess applicants on their approaches to leadership, culture and wellbeing, holistic wellbeing, mental health, financial wellbeing, social connectedness, job satisfaction, flexibility and time away, engagement and the employee experience, health equity and social determinants.
Some employers received additional recognition for excellence in mental health and health equity due to their organisational strategies that incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. They were recognised for addressing mental health with goals and measurable outcomes, and ensuring all employees have the opportunity to reach their full health potential.
Others were honoured for excellence in global health and wellbeing through meeting the diverse needs of employees in multiple countries and demonstrating an equity commitment with a set of standard benefits offered to their global workforces.
Employee benefits provider Unum was recognised for its commitment to improving employee wellbeing through benefits. It showcased its dedication and commitment to its employees through a range of mental, physical and financial health benefits, alongside a wellbeing programme.
