Paints, coatings and specialty materials firm PPG has appointed Robert Massy senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
Reporting to Tim Knavish, PPG chairman and chief executive officer, Massy will be responsible for leading the firm’s global human resources organisation. He will be located at its global headquarters in Pittsburgh and serve as a member of the operating committee.
Over the past 20 years, Massy has held senior leadership roles in several industries and regions where he has enhanced stakeholder value and commercial performance.
Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Westinghouse Electric Company. He joined in 2015 as chief talent officer, was then named chief human resources officer in 2017 and was responsible for the organisation's’ transformation and growth, leading a modernised HR function and driving increased engagement.
Prior to this, Massy held roles at Weatherford International as regional head of talent in the Asia-Pacific region and global head of talent and development in the US, as well as a number of positions in Singapore and London.
