Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has promoted Amanda Hyndman to chief people officer.
Hyndman, who joined the group in 2007, was appointed group director of quality and rooms in 2020 due to her contribution to its success. Her career spans more than 30 years in the luxury hotel industry, and she has held several senior management roles in the UK, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Washington DC.
In her new role, she will oversee the development of its human resources strategies that support the growth of the brand and colleague career development.
According to the group, this appointment reflects its commitment to promoting and nurturing talent from within the organsation.
