Global media business Forbes has promoted Ali Intres (pictured) to the position of chief human resources officer, reporting to chief executive officer Mike Federle.
Intres will lead the firm’s HR organisation globally, encompassing recruitment, training and development, benefits administration, HR systems, culture and inclusion, and more.
She joined Forbes as senior vice president of human resources and talent management in 2020. During her time at the business, she has worked on the rollout of enhanced health benefits, a new compensation structure, a hybrid work model, flexible time off, career development and training, and the prioritisation of business resource groups to highlight, support and nurture employees.
Before this, Intres worked at Digitas, where she served as senior vice president of talent and business operations for the east coast and was a member of its leadership team. Prior to Digitas, Intres worked at Time, Inc, where she oversaw HR for its central business groups.
Intres said: “Forbes is a brand that’s constantly evolving, innovating and looking to the future. The entrepreneurial spirit that is emblematic of the Forbes brand has allowed us to try new things, improve upon existing systems and help shape the future of work at one of the most renowned business media networks in the world.”
Federle added: “Ali has led pivotal changes within our HR department, including new employee benefits, a more robust compensation programme and systems upgrades to support our growing business. Since coming on board, Ali has navigated the challenges of pandemic and shift to hybrid work and has worked diligently to upgrade and modernise our processes which has been a key byproduct of, and will help continue to guide, Forbes’ growth. She’s helping to make Forbes one of the best places to work in media.”
