Fujitsu and DHL have implemented new pension scheme accounting software.

The software, Aviary, is supplied by Profund Solutions, part of JLT’s UK employee benefits business.

Katherine Terry, head of pension operations at Fujitsu UK and Ireland, said: “Our incumbent system was not specific to pension fund accounting and we felt there was an over reliance on both manual data entry and data held in Excel spreadsheets.

“We were pleased with the Profund project team’s focus on achieving our key implementation date, which ensured that the project was delivered on time for the price agreed.”

Ray Martin, head of pensions at DHL UK, said: “Following the merger of our nine UK pension schemes into one, the system we were using could not produce compliant financial statements and could no longer meet our increasingly complex pension fund accounting requirements.

“With Aviary, we are able to address the challenges we face, including being able to automate a number of existing manual processes.”
