Banking organisation Natwest Group and Teva Pharmaceuticals have been shortlisted in the category Best benefits to support menopause at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023.
This award was created to celebrate a benefits offering that supports staff with their menopause journey, such as a new range of supportive initiatives, training and employee workshops, a revised healthcare benefits provision that addresses the menopause-related needs of staff, or access to external providers and specialists.
The full category shortlist is:
- BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate and Institutional Banking)
- Citi
- Gi Group Holding
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS ICS
- Herbert Smith Freehills
- Natwest Group
- Teva
Aster Group won the Best benefits to support menopause, fertility or pregnancy award last year, which has been revised for 2023 to focus solely on menopause support. This was due to its focus group, menopause-specific sessions for employees of all genders with a menopause coach, recruiting 10 menopause champions, and ongoing initiatives designed for the needs of various groups. It also signed up to Menopause Matters’ menopause at work campaign.
The judges said: “This entry is a forerunner in the introduction of menopause support in the workplace. The organisation took something that was considered a taboo subject and made it a mainstream, inclusive topic. It shows that Aster is a leader in this area with tangible results demonstrated in the take up of its menopause support programmes.”
The 21st annual Employee Benefits Awards will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 23 June. It will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after-party will feature live music, dodgems, a carousel and a big wheel in the venue’s private grounds.
