Micom Technologies has received Great Place To Work certification for 2025 due to its ongoing investment in building a culture of trust, listening and meaningful action.

Through research into how internal communication and feedback could be improved, the organisation’s operations manager’s findings prompted the leadership team to launch its first Great Place To Work survey in 2024.

In this year’s survey, 97% of Micom employees said they think it is a great place to work, a seven point rise from 2024 and higher than the UK average. The number of staff who think it has special and unique benefits grew by 34 points, along with those who think their work has special meaning and that management trusts people to do a good job, growing by 19 and 14 points respectively.

Over the past 12 months, Micom has rolled out a range of people-first initiatives, which helped it achieve the certification. These include a new salary sacrifice scheme with more than 28 employee benefits, Tea Tuesdays, Diversity Days, refreshed townhalls, and a new giving committee. This supports local and global causes, including Baby Godiva, Coventry Haven, and a school in Zanzibar.

Micom’s certification is part of a shift from being traditional print to a digital-first, hybrid communication platform. It reflects its work across the organisation to act on employee feedback, evolve leadership behaviours, and shape a stronger workplace for the future.

Andy Barber, chief executive officer at Micom, said: “This recognition means a lot to us because it came from the people who shape our business daily. What makes me proud isn’t just the score, it’s the journey. Our team spoke up, and we moved fast to make things better. That’s the culture we want to protect and grow.

“Growth means nothing if your culture doesn’t keep up. This isn’t the finish line. It’s proof that when we listen deeply and act boldly, we can build a workplace that truly works for everyone. Maintaining a strong and human culture is a priority as the business grows.”
