We know how important it is to foster an inclusive workplace culture to attract and retain great talent in the hospitality industry. For many years our team has done an outstanding job organising charity outreach and celebrating key calendar moments and awareness days, including LGBTQIA+ Pride. Following a record-breaking year for the business in 2022 we knew we had to take these efforts to the next level, which is why we formed Lucky Voice’s new employer brand team.
The employer brand team consists of employees from across the business, including myself as managing director, and meets monthly to discuss key updates to policies and recruitment procedures, and plan a raft of activities to engage and empower our 120-strong team.
Lucky Voice’s first site opened over 15 years ago, on Soho’s Poland Street. Just a stone’s throw from bustling Old Compton Street, we’re proud to be in the heart of London’s LGBTQIA+ scene. And this summer we are thrilled to be celebrating Pride in London for another year.
Our team has always believed that there is no better way to celebrate Pride than singing loud and proud, so we will be inviting our employees along for the fun. Lucky Voice will be marching in the parade on 1 July, and we are encouraging our great people to take part by guaranteeing shift cover for anybody who wants to join. We have realised that it is one thing to encourage our people to join the parade if they want to, but by guaranteeing to cover their shifts we are empowering them to get involved, without having to worry about work at all; we are not just talking the talk, we are marching the march!
