Medical devices company Coloplast has introduced a flexible benefits scheme for employees.

The scheme aims to give staff a chance to improve their health and wellbeing by offering discounted gym membership, health screening, and dental insurance.

The scheme also includes the opportunity to buy or sell holiday, and make changes to certain benefits, such as by enhancing pension contributions and increasing private medical insurance (PMI) to cover more than one person.

Coloplast has also announced that profit related pay (PRP) has been confirmed at 5% for all employees in Chronic Care. Through the PRP scheme, employees see the financial benefits of Coloplast’s success, as their pay is directly related to the company’s profitability.

Sam Sedwill, HR director at Coloplast, said: “When it comes to a benefits package, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all. Some people value gym membership more highly than enhanced pension contributions and vice versa.

“By enabling our employees to create their own bespoke package they can adapt their benefits to suit their lifestyle and stage of life.

“The new scheme is just one of the ways in which Coloplast is striving to be a great place to work.

“Our staff are important to us and introducing initiatives such as the wellbeing programme and the flexible benefits scheme helps us to attract and retain the best.

“At Coloplast, we want our employees to get the most out of their lives every day, in and out of work.

“Not having to think about paying medical insurance and making sure they have sufficient funds going into their pension means our staff can worry less about the future and focus more on making the most of every day.”
