Law firm Ashurst has brought in an emergency childcare service for its 1,200 employees.
The service, provided by My Family Care, enables staff to book an emergency childminder, nanny or nursery place if their regular care arrangement has broken down. Staff pay for the childcare, but Ashurst covers the service's registration fee.
Shelley Holmes, senior HR manager at Ashurst, said: "The service minimises the difficulty of finding emergency childcare when that stressful situation arises. All our parents can register and then use the service as and when needed."
The perk was communicated via posters, Ashurst's intranet site and TVs in communal areas.
