Argyll sniffs out signature office fragrance

Something for the weekend: London office provider Argyll has launched a bespoke branded scent created by British perfumer Azzi Glasser, which it will roll out across its 30-strong portfolio, in order to help those working there soak in the smell of success.

Glasser, who has created signature scents for The Mandrake Hotel, The Chiltern Firehouse and Annabel’s, worked with Argyll to create its a fragrance that captures the traditionally British essence of its buildings, including its a vision of modern, classic offices with a boutique, residential feel. The idea was that its offices could be brought together by the scent, with clients recognising an Argyll building as soon as they enter, without disrupting individual employer brands.

According to the office provider, the ingredients embody freshness, sophistication and comfort, designed to enhance its premium standards and reinvent the office experience. Earthy tones are intended to evoke the gardens of its London addresses, the notes of laurel, vetiver and cedar add charisma and showcase the legacy of its buildings through an upgraded modern edge, to mirror its refurbishment plans. It will also roll out the scent in diffusers and hand soaps.

Emily Smith, chief operating officer of Argyll, said: “Our signature scent is the finishing touch to the extensive refurbishment that we began last year. It provides a distinction that sets Argyll apart, not only from other office providers, but also other landmark buildings in London, creating a unique experience for our clients.”

Glasser, founder of The Perfumer’s Story, added: “We based the composition of the scent on the heritage of the Argyll brand while ensuring that it suited the new direction of the newly renovated offices. It was such an interesting and unique brief to work on, I’m delighted the team are so happy with the finished product.”

This smells like a wonderful opportunity to us here at Employee Benefits to ensure employees’ wellbeing is fostered by a calm and stimulating working environment. We hope it’s also good at covering up the smell of those microwaved lunches…
