Advertised salaries in the UK have increased by 1.9% year-on-year as at November 2017, according to research by CV Library.
Its analysis of its job market data also found that advertised UK salaries increased by 1.3% between October 2017 and November 2017.
Advertised salaries for jobs in the education sector in the UK increased by 7.7% over the last month, compared to salary rises of 7.4% and 6.7% in the catering and retail sectors respectively. Salaries for legal positions rose by 5.6% over the same period, while jobs in recruitment are advertising salaries that are 1.7% higher in November 2017 compared to October 2017.
Regionally, advertised salaries in Cardiff increased by 15.5% for November 2017, compared to a 7.4% advertised salary increase for jobs in Brighton, a 5.4% pay increase for positions in Newcastle, and a 4.1% rise in advertised salaries for Sheffield-based jobs. Advertised salaries in Glasgow increased by 3.9% in November 2017.
