Mitie Group employees have taken part in a 180-mile bike ride around London.

The London Revolution, which brought together 2,000 cyclists along a route of London landmarks and Olympic venues, was sponsored by Mitie Group and its charity partner City Gateway, which aims to help unemployed young adults through training, mentoring and apprenticeships.

The 250 Mitie Group staff cycled more than 31,000 miles between them.

Ruby McGregor-Smith, chief executive of Mitie Group, said: “The Mitie London Revolution was a great way to connect with social enterprises to create positive change through sport. It has also helped to challenge our employees to think more about their own physical and mental health.
