Winner: Holiday Extras
Scheme: My.extras
Entered by: Thomsons Online Benefits
The winner of this category is recognised for how it has used benefits within a wider strategy to engage employees, and the extent to which staff have been engaged to influence wider business results, such as improved productivity and absence levels.
The judges felt Holiday Extras’ approach to employee engagement was fun, appealing and appropriate to its young workforce. They particularly liked the fact that it uses its benefits package during the recruitment process to get people engaged.
The judges said: “This was the entry, which most clearly linked what it is doing in the benefits space to a broader employee engagement strategy. There is a clear appreciation of what employees want and keeping it simple.”
The winner said: “The branding we used was bright, vibrant and jargon-free, which meant staff were more engaged.”
