Yodel courier employees will be able to access a portion of their earnings the next day, rather than waiting for the end of their pay cycle, through a scheme provided by financial wellbeing platform Onsi Pay,. They will be able to access up to £200 per withdrawal and will receive the money in their account within minutes.

The aim of the initiative is to provide greater financial freedom, flexibility and transparency to staff. The organisation wants to offer its couriers more control over their money and give them the option to keep track of their estimated daily earnings through the Onsi app.

Yodel employees also have access to discounts on everyday expenses and fuel card packages, provided by the Retail Trust and the Hapi app.

The organisation is also hiring for more than 3,000 UK seasonal courier and warehouse roles ahead of peak shopping times. It has a flexible working environment that allows couriers to carry out deliveries around their existing schedules.

Mike Hancox, chief executive officer (CEO) of Yodel, said: “As we head into the busiest time of year for retailers, we’re expanding our workforce to meet the boom in demand for parcel deliveries as the e-commerce market continues to go from strength to strength. We’re committed to supporting our network of couriers and providing a competitive range of benefits, and our partnership with Onsi Pay will enable us to continue leading the industry on this front. We’ve already seen high registration rates among new employees and are exploring a wider roll out of the platform to existing staff in the near future.”
