In 2021, AWE won the award for Best mental health strategy. The judges believed that the organisation had a comprehensive and holistic approach that actively identified mental health as an area of focus. They were impressed with its range of initiatives, such as support groups and virtual events, wellbeing champions and mental health first aiders.

Cleo Howie, wellbeing manager at AWE, said: “On behalf of AWE, I’m delighted; mental health is such an important topic, it’s had much more attention over the past few years and we’ve worked hard on getting a strategy that really supports everyone. It’s wonderful for all our hard work to be recognised.”

Comedian Simon Brodkin, best known as his alter ego Lee Nelson, will be hosting the 20th annual awards ceremony at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 24 June, which will bring together reward, benefits and HR professionals to recognise and celebrate the work carried out by teams and organisations during 2021.

There are a total of 22 categories in this year’s ceremony, where guests can look forward to a champagne reception, three-course lunch and an after-party that will include live music, dodgems, a carousel and a big wheel in the venue’s private grounds.
