Towers Watson has launched a human capital metrics (HCM) iPad application.

The HCM app can be used by employers to measure and compare the cost and effectiveness of their HR programmes, as well as managing retention, turnover and labour costs.

The app includes:

  • Access to benchmarking data developed using Towers Watsons’ HCM database.
  • The ability to add an organisation’s own data for comparison to HCM metrics.
  • The ability to email any chart for review by others.

Radha Chakraborty, director of human capital metrics at Towers Watson, said: “In many organisations, it is difficult for leaders to get access to even basic workforce analytics.

“We developed this app to give HR a first-hand look at how our human capital metrics database provides easy access to the meaningful data they need to compare investments, programmes and people-driven outcomes.

“Clearly, the days of static, paper-based HR measurements are nearing an end. We believe that, as organisations use it, they will appreciate the value and power of accessing data online through the database.”

The HCM app is the second iPad application that Towers Watson has introduced. Its first app, TWGlobal50, is designed to provide HR and benefits professionals with instant access to critical compensation and employee benefits data.
