Insurance group Tokio Marine HCC and Lloyds Banking Group have been shortlisted for Best benefits to support reproductive health at the Employee Benefits Awards 2025.
The award, which was introduced in 2023, recognises the most effective benefits strategy to support staff going through fertility treatment or pregnancy, regardless of gender.
The full category shortlist is:
- Lloyds Banking Group
- PepsiCo UK and Ireland
- Tokio Marine HCC
Last year, Centrica won the award after impressing the judges with its inclusive support package for families, Pathway to Parenthood. The package offers a financial benefit towards fertility treatment and becoming a parent, which includes IUI, IVF and egg or sperm donation and storage. The benefit can also be used to cover costs for adoption or surrogacy.
Fertility testing is available separately through Centrica’s healthcare plan, funded through a medical trust. Employees are also given five days paid leave, in addition to their annual leave allowance, for their fertility treatment, adoption or surrogacy appointments per year.
The judges said: “[Centrica] should be commended for advocating this support outside of its organisation as well and sharing best practice with other employers.”
The Employee Benefits Awards, which is in its 23rd year and celebrates individuals and teams displaying excellence through their reward and benefits strategies, will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 27 June.
The daytime event will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after-party will include live music in the venue’s private grounds.
