Plant and machinery hire firm Jet Plant Hire and retailer Superdrug have been named among the shortlisted employers for Best mental health strategy at this year’s Employee Benefits Awards 2025.
This award recognises employers that have made a concerted effort to address employee stress and mental ill-health in the workplace, have put measures in place to actively identify stress or other mental health issues, and have taken steps to support affected staff.
The full category shortlist is:
- Jet Plant Hire
- Superdrug
- Welcome Break
The last winner of this award was Natwest Group due to its commitment to evolving its mental health strategy through its People Pledges and Mental Health at Work Commitment, with the introduction of a number of new initiatives. The organisation worked on a data-driven approach to identify key business areas that require targeted interventions, for example, the need to take a targeted approach to mental health in its contact centres.
It saw an increase in the percentage of employees who stated that their stress levels are manageable at work, a rise in the number of wellbeing champions, and increased wellbeing hub monthly views.
A Natwest Group spokesperson said: “This is in recognition of the great work that Natwest does to make sure all employees stay well at work. We have put in place a lot of initiatives across the whole business and we listen to our staff and what they need. We’ve used all of our wellbeing pillars to make sure our offerings link back to mental health to make sure we keep well at work.”
The Employee Benefits Awards, which is in its 23rd year, will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on 27 June.
The daytime event will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with HR, reward and benefit industry professionals. The after-party will include live music in the venue’s private grounds.
