The Personnel Today Awards 2025 are now open for entries as the publication launches its annual celebration of the very best in HR and learning and development
Employers and suppliers have until 13 June to craft their entries for their chance of winning a coveted trophy at a glittering black-tie ceremony on London’s Park Lane in late November.
As well as an opportunity to receive the recognition entrants deserve, the Personnel Today Awards also offer an unforgettable evening of fine dining and entertainment in the run-up to Christmas, a chance for people teams to celebrate the year’s successes.
Rob Moss, Personnel Today’s editorial director and chair of the judging panel, said: “It’s my absolute pleasure to launch the 2025 Personnel Today Awards, allowing us to showcase the best work in people management and L&D.
“Now’s your chance to start thinking about what your organisation has been working on and what projects might be contenders in our 22 categories.”
Last year, King’s College London scooped the overall winner award in recognition of its impactful and wide-ranging HR programme. It also won HR Team of the Year. Other category winners included E.on UK for family-friendly working, Rolls-Royce for talent management, and Busy Bees Nurseries for workplace culture.
Each year, the Personnel Today Awards are hosted by a special guest. IT Crowd and Travel Man star Richard Ayoade hosted last year’s awards ceremony, and other recent hosts have included Claudia Winkleman, Russell Kane and Lucy Porter.
The 2025 Personnel Today Awards feature 17 categories for employers to choose from and five awards specifically for suppliers and consultancies. Suppliers can also enter categories on behalf of their employer clients. This year’s Excellence in Public Service HR category is free to enter for all UK public sector organisations, which can also receive a 20% discount on other categories. Moss added: “The Personnel Today Awards are being held for the 27th time and we’re looking forward to welcoming around 1,000 people to the biggest night in the HR calendar this autumn; it will be an evening to remember.”
Shortlists will be announced in late July, with the awards ceremony taking place on the evening of Tuesday 18 November 2025 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair.
Submissions typically require employers to describe a problem they faced, the solution that was implemented, and the benefits realised for the organisation and its employees.
Bank of Ireland, EY, LHH, NatWest and Oracle are sponsoring again this year, together with Reward Gateway | Edenred, and Employee Benefits.
