As we race towards the start of a new academic year and the weather begins to take an autumnal turn, it truly feels like the summer is coming to an end (it seemed to fly past this year).

While the start of a year is traditionally hailed as a time of reflection and change, for me, this time of year has always felt like more of an opportunity to do so. In my younger years, the promise of a fresh academic year always came with the excitement of what was to come.

This year, I’m feeling the sense of change more than ever as my youngest prepares to start school (I’m not ready!) and I’m preparing to adjust from spending my non-working days with my little sidekick to having these days stretch before me. I’m told these will quickly feel all too short!

With a fresh start comes the opportunity to review what has come before. In the world of reward and benefits, this can take a number of guises, from taking stock of projects and/or priorities that were set at the beginning of the calendar or financial year, to reviewing benefits against current workforce needs.

For those of you who maybe facing particular challenges or who are looking for inspiration around specific projects or your benefits offering as a whole, Employee Benefits Live has an agenda packed with experts primed to share their experiences. This year’s programme includes speakers from organisations such as The Lego Group, Asda, British Airways, Eurostar, WPP, KP Snacks and Next, to name but a few.

They will be sharing their experiences and insights on topics including driving financial wellbeing among front-line workers, reimagining wellbeing, redefining reward to fit a modern workforce, making a big impact with a small budget, and sustaining DEI momentum in a shifting world, among many others.
