Glass manufacturer Encirc and financial services firm Flagstone Group have been shortlisted for Best flexible benefits plan at the Employee Benefits Awards 2025.
This category was created to recognise a successful strategy that has effectively delivered a flexible benefits plan. This can include plans that operate within a set enrolment period, as well as any-time enrolment.
The full category shortlist is:
- BUUK Infrastructure
- Encirc
- Flagstone Group
- Leonardo UK
- PepsiCo UK&I
- Langley Trust
L’Oreal UK won the award in 2024 as a result of its creation of a reward strategy that supports employees’ life goals; brings benefits, pay, recognition and wellbeing together; and aligns branding and communication to encourage take up of benefits.
It also made improvements to its offering by looking outside traditional flexible benefits to implement a technology scheme; enhancing its income protection by reducing eligibility from two years to one day; and making its flexible benefits portal more intuitive.
A L’Oreal UK spokesperson said: “Engaging with our employees and communicating about what benefits they have, how to use them and what’s coming up in the future is key. We’ve got so many good benefits and have tried to inform and get employees excited about what is on offer, which resulted in more engagement and take-up. We also redesigned the branding and our enrolment window.”
The Employee Benefits Awards, which is in its 23rd year and celebrates those driving excellence through their reward and benefits strategies, will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 27 June.
The daytime event will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals.
